Just in writing, we have received a mail about the jazz live concert from "cappuccino". We are going to deliver an article "Cappuccino's Jazz Live Concert Report" irregularly from this week. Today a sale at a flat price JPY100 is started in Moriyama warehouse. Unit price is 100 yen per record and magazine. Some open tapes are also sold at 100 yen each. The empty CD case is sold at 100 yen in a set of 10 cases. A price of the box record is depended on the number of records inside. Cappuccino's Jazz Live Concert Report Last week I went to Mitch's jazz live concert in Royal Horse, a famous jazz club, in Osaka. Mitch is a young trumpet jazz player who showing activity in New Orleans, US. His playing is Dixieland jazz, which is very rhythmical and light New Orleans sounds. A club was filled with his powerful high tone and strong middle-low tone. I loved his fantastic performance and his beautiful singing voice. It seemed to be just in New Orleans. His performance looked as if he was playing with a trumpet. It was a pity that I could not listen to his live performance in the second act. I'm sure that it would be great as well as the first act. Disassembly and Reassembly of SONY/DTC-1000ES This week I have received a request to disassemble the SONY digital audio tape deck DCT-1000ES from Kenji Kondo. Here is his comment. "This was the first reference DAT of SONY which was installed a 4dd (Direct Drive) motor and a rotary head. They said that it was achieved 10 times highest record precision than the original PCM processor because of using metallic tapes. As a result, CD players became popular in those days. What I want to see by disassembling is ; (1) the cassette tray (2) the rotary head (3) the place which the tape winds around the rotary drum (4) the sophisticated wiring by IC tip (5) the synchronal-terminal I expect who show his or her ability for disassembling this deck."
