In our new column "Disassembly and Reassembly", we will disassemble the audio products and provide detailed information about the components and structure with pictures. We picked up "YAMAHA NS-1000" among several requests for "Disassembly and Reassembly" as our first trial. Number of bids :2 Winning bid :JPY500 2.Disassembly and Reassembly of "YAMAHA NS-1000 MONITOR" We would like to disassemble a big seller "YAMAHA NS-1000 MONITOR" speaker and report in details on this item. "YAMAHA NS-1000 MONITOR" was released in 1974 and more than 200,000 units had been sold all over the world by 1997 when it went out of production. NS-1000 is 3 way speaker with simple design like black piano, however, it is an excellent product completed by YAMAHA musical instrument craftsman. This speaker is outstanding in high-purity beryllium evaporated unit and the cabinet. A round board might be useful parts to achieve the maximum power of the unit. NS-1000 produced by the skilled YAMAHA craftsman might not be suitable for disassembly. Therefore, it was really hard for us to disassemble and reassemble this model. We tried to take out the metal wire mesh guard in front of the unit but we gave it up finally because it seems that the training for years might be required to reassemble it.
